Community-Based Doulas

Who we serve: We serve African American birthing people entering our program between 20 and 30 weeks pregnant who live within one of our service areas. This allows us to cultivate a meaningful relationship with each expectant mother and deliver the best possible long range support for a healthy pregnancy and beyond.

Where we serve: Our community-based doula program is currently serving African American pregnant women living in the following neighborhoods:
Binghampton (38112)
Frayser (38127)
Orange Mound/Glenview (38111, 38114)
Hickory Hill (38115, 38141, 38125)
South Memphis (38106, 38126)
North Memphis (38107, 38108)
Whitehaven/Westwood (38109, 38116, 38118)

How we serve: Our community-based doula program provides support for African American birthing people in the following ways: physical, emotional, self-advocacy, informational, and partner reinforcement.
